Vilnius region is located on the outskirts of the Lithuanian capital. However, we still know very little about it. And ignorance breeds not only suspicion, but also hostility. In the public sphere, we often hear stereotypical and sometimes offensive statements about the inhabitants of the Vilnius region and their attitude towards the Lithuanian state.

Tito and Ceaușescu come to Luxembourg for the second time

Josip Broz Tito (1892-1980) and Nicolae Ceaușescu (1918-1989) will return to Luxembourg, Esch-Belval, for the second time on October 15, 2025. The Yugoslav president for life and the Romanian dictator may be long dead, but the first history festival of the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) at the University of Luxembourg will make their "resurrection" possible, at least on screen and as holograms.
